Look at me, rushing through these old Christmas posts like it wasn't already March. Oops! Fell a bit behind in the last few months (ok, more than a few), but I'm really trying to get back to regular posting. So here is another old product that isn't available to purchase but I thought I would talk about anyway since I have it: The Mac Nutcracker Sweet Peach Face Compact. Enjoy!
First off, the packaging is adorable. It's not the easiest to use though, as the top doesn't stay open while you are using the product. So unless you hold it while applying it with the other hand, the lid will snap shut on you. A bit annoying but certainly not a deal breaker. I do like the vinyl-like top though, because it means it doesn't get all scratched up and doesn't get annoying finger prints all over it. So a big plus for that.
Blush: It's a stunning shade. It's very natural and pairs well with almost any look. It's a pinky-brown-grey, and despite the fact that description sounds unappealing, the final result is a gorgeous colour. The blush is matte, which pairs perfectly with the highlight; you can mix them together for a lovely sheen across the cheeks, or use them separately. The blush lasts all day, and because its cooler toned, almost acts like a contour and slims the face. It is very stiff in the pan though, and takes a bit of work but applies smoothly and lasts all day.
This was the first Mac blush I had ever tried, and I was pleasantly surprised. I don't think I'm going to run out and buy anymore right now, since I have an overwhelming amount of blushes already, but it's something to keep in mind for a future shopping spree.
