"The less routine the more life."

I've been in a bit of a rut lately.  I've been opting for very loose t-shirts and either jeans or shorts, with my hair pulled into haphazard buns, topped off with very similar makeup styles.  I have an overflowing drawer of makeup and a closet that barely closes, but sometimes I just can't seem to bring myself to really try when getting ready in the morning.  For most of May, I opted for some version of the look that I've posted below.

I purchased this Tarte palette a few weeks ago, when it was on sale for 40% off on the Sephora website (how could you say no, right?).  It contains various shades of brown, pink, and taupes.  I was putting the pink colour (the second row, second colour in) all over my lid, with a bit of the taupe (bottom row, third colour in) in the crease.  I feel like some of the bronzier, red-toned colours will be amazing in the fall.

I can't even remember now if I've talked about the Burt's Bees lip crayons on the blog yet, but I am literally obsessed with them.  I own almost all of the colours (and since they are on sale this week, I'm guessing that I'll be completing the collection soon).  They don't feel like anything on your lips--they have a matte to slightly sheeny finish, but are also quite pigmented.  I'm most obsessed with Hawaiian Smoulder, which is the dark pink colour shown above.  I think these are the absolute best lippies for the spring/summer.

I've blogged about this Clarins bronzer before, so I won't go on about it too much now, but it's such a natural bronzer for us pale girls.  It's buildable, but not the most pigmented, so it's really hard to over do.

Lastly, the Stila convertible colours are amazing for spring.  It's one of those products that I've heard many beauty bloggers rave about, but never thought much of.  I love applying this cream formula with a shipping brush for a sheer wash of colour on the cheeks.  I don't like it quite as much on the lips (I find it a bit too waxy), but still think it's a great little product to keep in your handbag for a duel purpose touch-up during hot sticky spring days.

What have you been reaching for the most lately?

Until next time,

Happy makeuping,

xoxo K
