Testing: Teeez Cosmetics

|
I’d never actually tried Teeez products before, but after a friend brought them to work for me to try, I was excited. I’m always down to try out new beauty brands and this was no exception.  I thought I would do a review of the products I’ve been using here (and apparently a Stila watercolour blush that I decided to through into the shoot).

These are the products I've been testing out

First off, how adorable is this packaging? All the colourful designs and geometric shapes are so eye-catching that it’s almost impossible to not love them. I will say that the highlighters are verging on clunky though, with the oversized containers.

Blushes
I've been completely in love with both of these blushes. The Teeez one is a gorgeous shade of pink and is so complimentary to my pale skin. It almost has a lip balm like consistency, but it blends beautifully on the cheeks. It's quite subtle, which I love as I have naturally rosey cheeks. It has good staying power and wears very consistently throughout the day. The Stila blush is much more liquidy in consistency (hense the name). It's a much brighter colour, but can be applied very sparingly for a tint. The one con I found with this blush is because it is so liquidy, it is a bit harder to blend and can go outside of the area you intended.

Highlights
I'm obsessed with both of these highlights. They have a thicker consistency, and it's almost sponge-like. They can be layered to really stand out as a highlighter but are subtle enough to comfortably wear every day. And because they have a nice cream consistency, you can sheer them out and blend them over your blush for a more radiant finish.

Brows
I've never actually tried a brow pomade before, so I'm going into this review blind. I'll start by saying it is a great colour match for my light brows. The texture is very thick, and I find it can be a bit hard to blend if your brush has any product on it from the day before. It's great at defining the brows, and I love to fill in the tail and arch with it, but I'm still trying to find a way to feather out the front. I think with a bit more practice I could really love this product.

Lips
This would have to be my least favourite product, mostly because the colour isn't my favourite. It has an opaque finish that is achievable in about two coats. It has a light vanilla scent to it--more like baking vanilla than MAC lipsticks, if that makes sense. I haven't kept it on for a long enough period to make a judgement call on the longevity, but I'm sure it will be getting more use in the fall.

Overall thoughts
If you've never tried Teeez, I'd highly recommend starting with the highlighters and blush. I'm completely in love with both of these products, and I'm already looking forward to seeing what other products are available to try.

Have you tried any Teeez products? Are you into wearing creamier finishes lately?
