June Favourites: Beauty Edition

|
June Favourites time! I rarely do "favourite"-type posts, but I've switched around my makeup set up lately (so you can see in my previous post is), so I've been playing around with more products then I normally do.  I tend to get stuck in a rut with my makeup, so the way I've rearranged things have made it easier to rediscover favourites.  For the month of June, these are the items that I surprisingly wasn't using often, but have fallen in love with again. Keep reading to find out!

Face:

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette: I have never really given this palette much thought.  I really like the centre highlight shade, but with my super oily skin, I wasn't sure how to approach the other two shades.  I've started using the one of the far right as a bronzer, or adding it over a matte bronzer.  But more importantly, I've started using that first shade as a way to wipe my bake off.  This way, I get the long lasting power of my normal powder, but with the radiant look of the Hourglass one.  I had 3 complements on my complexion, of all things, by strangers at work.  I never get compliments on my complexion, but this power really does seem to be a miracle worker.  He is staying in this rotation!

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic, Sex on Fire
This blush isn't something I would have purchased on my own, but I was sent this last summer.  And omg it's so pretty! It leaves a really natural, almost sculptural look to the cheeks.  It's darker and browner then my other blushes, but seeing as how pale I am, I'm guessing this will be universally flatting.  If you have a CT booth in your local beauty store, give this one a swatch!

Eyes:

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Copper
I love this for the mornings when I'm running late (what alarm? I swear I didn't hear anything).  A swipe of this gorgeous orangey-coppery shade looks amazing with blue eyes, and blends out seamlessly in seconds.  It's super creamy to blend, but it sets down, so it doesn't smudge at all. Totally want more colours!

Too Faced Peanut Butter Palette: I didn't play around with this palette as much as I would have liked to, but when you start work at 8am, you don't really have the motivation to do crazy makeup looks.  The few times I did use it though, I got so many comments! It's more pigmented then I would like, meaning it goes on really strong, but it's so buttery and looks stunning. It's now permanent in the range, so pick it up!

Inglot Custom Freedom Palette
As I'm typing this, I'm not sure why I included this product in my pictures.  I think I meant to grab the Lancome French Innocence palette, which I love and used a lot in the last few weeks.  This palette is nice, but I stupidly put in the my favourites without using it up. #bloggerfail

Honourable Mention

Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant . . .Tooth Paste
Random right? Completely. But I was sent this for review, and I actually really like it.  It leaves your breath so bloody fresh.  Almost tingly.  If you have sensitive gums, or get irritated by strong scents, I'd swear clear.  But hollllly, this tooth paste is like downing an entire pack of tick-tacs at once.  I don't notice any extra whiteness, but it's still really nice.

So what were your favourites for the month of June? I'm currently cooped up inside because I cannot stand the heat in July.  I can't wait for summer to be over, and everything to calm down again.
