“May it be a light to you in dark places, when all other lights go out.”

As an oily skinned girl, I shied away from highlighter for years. I thought that the last thing I needed was extra shine.  But boy, was I wrong.  My first highlighter was the Clinique Chubby Stick in Heafty Highlight, which I used intermittently for a few months before I purchased the Hourglass Ambient lighting palette and Mac Lightscapade.  In comes the Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Poweder in Candlelight.

My other highlighters are all cool toned, but I wanted to try something a little more champagne in colour.  I also have the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow palette, but I personally think it's too golden for my fair complexion.  To me, this is the perfect middle ground.  It's still very light, but has more warmth than my other highlights.

It is very subtle, so if you're looking for something that will provide all out shine, then this might not be for you.  But when it catches the light, it has this gorgeous angelic glow.  Because it's subtle, I find it super easy to blend into the skin; you're never left with a shiny stripe on your cheeks.

If you're in the market for a new (and quite unique) highlight, then this Kevyn Aucoin one is absolutely perfect.  I think it may actually be my new favourite!

Until next time,

Happy Makeuping,

xoxo K
