"She's not perfectly tan, she's not trying to be anything but what she is, and that's the most sexy thing."

I'm of Irish decent, so I'm naturally ghostly pale.  I can't be bothered trying to fake tan, and I'll burn to a crisp if I spend much time in the sun.  So when it comes to beauty products, I generally steer clear of bronzers.  I have been relying on my Body Shop Bronzing Powder in light matte, and my Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil since last summer, but I've barely made dents in them.  I generally add a bit of bronzer around my temples, and across my nose, just to add some dimension to my face.

But there was something about this "Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact" that really appealed to me.  Maybe it's the fact that there are four distinct colours that you can choose from, depending on your shade at a given time, or the fact that it was only 42$, but literally twice the size of my Too Faced bronzer, which was only a few dollars cheaper.  Or, more than likely, it was because it's so damn pretty.  I mean, look at it.  It's more like a piece of art than a makeup product.  I think the beauty of this product is that it will work for everyone.  The quad-like design and massive size means that you can really pin-point which colour will work best for your skin tone.

After I purchased this, I was hesitant to try it.  It's quite a bit darker than my other two bronzers, but I gave it a go with a sheer powder brush.  And I love it.  I've been focusing more on the upper left corner (the lightest shade in the quad), but it looks so natural.  It adds the perfect amount of colour, without looking over done.  It's predominately matte, but has the tiniest hint of shimmer in certain lights.

What's your favourite spring-time bronzer?

Until next time,

Happy makeuping,

xoxo K
