“‎Lipstick is really magical. It holds more than a waxy bit of color - it holds the promise of a brilliant smile, a brilliant day, both literally and figuratively.”

I wanted to share one of my favourite products of September (so far) with you.  Now, I know what you're thinking.  Katherine, these are far from new products.  But hear me out first.  I never use to wear lip products (aside from a moisturizing balm), so my venture into the wonderful world of lipsticks is relatively new.  I'm definitely a high-end beauty girl.  I've just always found with my painfully sensitive skin, it's better to buy higher end products, thinking they have better ingredients (not necessarily true, I know, and I'm working to get better at that).  My exception to this rule is lipsticks.  I feel like, no matter how much you spend, it wears off within a few hours anyway, so why spend an arm and a leg?  I found the Kate Moss for Rimmel (which is cruelty free) Matte Lipsticks and fell in love.  They were on sale for $4.99 a piece, so naturally, I stalked up.

I find that these lipsticks last all day.  They have a stain element to them, so unless you are eating or drinking a lot, they don't need to be reapplied more than once to twice a day.  They are highly pigmented, come in a large range of colours, and are a great bargain.  My only complaint?  They smell like cheap lipstick.  You know that old women makeup smell?  They have that.  But all things considered, I would highly recommend these products if you haven't tried them yet.

Until next time,

Happy makeuping,

xoxo K
