"Tennis is a perfect combination of violent action taking place in an atmosphere of total tranquillity"

If you are like me, you become a bit obsessed with Wimbledon.  I've always been a fan of tennis even though I know very little about the sport.  I even played as a child--for two weeks, and then I was stung by a bee and never went back to lessons.  But Wimbledon was extra special this year--there were 3 Canadians there.  Milos Raonic, 8th seeded, made it to the semi-finals before being defeated by Federer (still wanted to see him win for an 8th time, but no such luck);  Eugenie Bouchard, now 7th seeded, and the first Canadian ever to make it to the finals at Wimbledon, came 2nd (but she's only 20, so she has lots of time to perfect her game); and Vasek Pospisil, who won the mens doubles! Between the three of them, it seemed like new Canadian records were being set daily.  Congrats to the group!

So naturally, I pulled out my "tennis" dress (it looks like an old-fashioned tennis outfit, doesn't it?) in honour of the Wimbledon finals over the weekend.  And the braids are an ode to Bouchard, who always has her Blake Lively-esque hair pulled into a high pony and braid.

Dress: old, similar here // Shoes: old, Maria Sharapova for Cole Haan (had to wear them, since a Tennis star designed them, right?) // NecklaceHudson's Bay // Bracelet and ring: vintage pearls

Did anyone else watch the finals over the weekend?  Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Until next time,

Happy sporting,

xoxo K
