"I'm undaunted in my quest to amuse myself by constantly changing my hair"

I'm someone who almost always has long hair.  Every few years, I cut it all off, regret it, then grow it back to the small of my back, before I get tired of it and cut it all off again.  I use to have nice and thick hair, with a not-too-tight curl.  But I've found that the stress of university has really taken a toll on my hair, and it literally falls out in clumps now.  So when it's long, it just looks thin and lifeless.

[ Before: Long, dark hair]

Also, the colour brown pictured above isn't my natural colour.  I decided to take the plunge in August and dyed my beautiful blonde this auburn shade.  Needless to say, I hated every day of it.  My personality suits blonde much better, or so my parents say.

I showed my hairdresser these pictures (all taken from my pinterest account), to demonstrate the colour that I wanted; essentially my natural blonde again, but more polished.

She opted for the skull-cap highlights (hello painful!).

After about an hour and a half, my hair was "finished", and honestly, I hated it.  It was neon-yellow/blonde bimbo hair.  Feeling quite upset, I asked if there was any way she could darken it to a more natural colour.

The end result?

I love it! It's my natural colour again (as evident by how well my eye-brows match my hair, unlike the very fake red I had to keep filling them in with before).  I'm so excited to try curling my hair, and styling it.  It's been years since my hair was this short.  If anyone has any tutorials on how to curl short hair, I'd love to see them!

Until next time,

Happy shopping,

xoxo K
